  2. bulletin <subcommand>

  4.      The 'bulletin' command establishes how Jnos treats incoming
  5. bulletins based on their R: line headers.
  6.

  8.     bulletin check [on | OFF]
  9.  
  10.      Displays or sets a flag indicating bulletin forwarding is to be
  11.      optimized.  If <ON>, an incoming bulletin's R: lines are scanned for
  12.      BBSes to which we forward.  If any are found, the bulletin is marked
  13.      as having already been forwarded to that BBS.  When invoked with no
  14.      options, the list of BBSes to which we forward is also displayed.
  15.      Note: only the first NUMFWDBBS (currently 8) BBSes in forward.bbs
  16.      are checked in the R: lines, hence the most active BBSes should occur
  17.      first in forward.bbs.

  20.     bulletin loophold [<count>]                              Default: 2

  22.      Displays or sets a counter which, if exceeded by the number of times
  23.      our call appears in a message's R: line headers, causes the message
  24.      to be Held to avoid a message-forwarding loop.  A held message is
  25.      visible only to the sysop, and has a "X-BBS-Hold: loop" header added.

  28.     bulletin date [on | OFF]
  29.  
  30.      Displays or sets whether the date associated with a message is
  31.      the originate date (if ON), or the date received (if OFF).  The
  32.      originate date is obtained from the last R: line, and should
  33.      yield better operation of the bulletin expire mechanism.

  36.     bulletin return [on | OFF]
  37.  
  38.       Displays or sets how a message's return address is obtained.
  39.       If ON, the return address is obtained from the last R: header line
  40.       when available.  If OFF, sender%forwarding.bbs@mycall is used.
